Can only access IP addresses

Today, I could only access a few IP addresses that I happen to know. For instance, I know Google and Yahoo!'s IP addresses. If I entered their IP addresses in the address bar, I could access their sites, but I couldn't access any site that has google.com or yahoo.com. This goes for any other site, too. I also could not ping anything but IP addresses. I tested my Network Connections and everything was working. I have no clue why this was happening.

    most likely the problem is with the pc/laptop, system needs to be refreshd or needs upgrade. need to contact manufacturer of your pc.
